After School Care
Additional Notes
Students may enter the building at 7:55 a.m. For your child’s safety, do not drop your student off in parking lot. Teachers report for morning duty at 7:45. Outside doors are secured at 8:25. Classes begin promptly at 8:30. Your child will be tardy after 8:25. VISITORS EVERYONE MUST CHECK-IN, SHOW ID AND RECEIVE A BADGE BEFORE LEAVING THE FRONT OFFICE AREA. Valid ID is mandatory and visitor must be listed on the INFOSNAP REGISTRATION DATA to eat with a student. Dismissal is at 3:15. There are no check outs after 2:30pm. Car riders - Make sure your child’s pick-up sign is visible and in the front window. In order to keep dismissal running efficiently, please remain in your car and proceed through the line. Parents MUST pull up to the area that is indicated by the teacher on duty. This will keep traffic flowing. All students should be picked up by 3:45pm. There will be no staff supervision after that time. Parents without pick-up signs must park and come inside to pick up student. EARLY CHECKOUTS No early checkouts after 2:30. Valid ID is mandatory and name must be listed on Student’s InfoSnap Registration Data. Please allow your child to remain in school until dismissal. Students are not to be checked out except for doctor or dental appointments or in the case of an emergency. An early checkout will be considered an unexcused tardy unless a physician/dentist note is presented to the attendance clerk the next day. Our teachers spend the last thirty minutes of the day giving homework assignments, guided practice, and frequent tests to determine the mastery or non-mastery of the day’s work. TEACHERS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO ALLOW STUDENTS TO MAKE UP WORK OR TESTS BECAUSE OF FREQUENT TARDIES OR EARLY CHECKOUTS. TRANSPORTATION CALLS Please inform your child of any transportation changes before they come to school. You must send a note to the teacher indicating the change. With continued emphasis on school safety, a verbal message is not the best way to communicate; therefore, changes will not be taken over the phone. Arrangements for your children in the afternoon need to be consistent. Please do not leave transportation notices on teacher’s voice mail, as it is usually the end of the day before messages are checked. No transportation changes for “spending the night” or other conveniences are permissible. BUS TRANSPORTATION Bus transportation is only allowed to pick up and drop off at the student’s home. There will be no exceptions. Students are not permitted to ride home with a friend on another bus.
